at this late hour of the night i see that artificially constructed reality is what I create for me, thoughts floating around in an empty brain, people taking drugs to alleviate self-constructed pain. social networks disconnect us from ourselves, reaching out to the world with our hearts upon the shelves.

A poem a day

So I’ve decided to write a poem a day.

The content of the poems will be my feelings of the day. Each poem will consist of one quatrain.

My hope is that many years from now I will have a collection of mini journal entry poems. Here is my first one:

Alas the time has come again today
Alone last night myself was lead astray
Today virtue has shown herself to me
Action can enslave me, or set me free
